• Solar energy and its promising opportunities in a workshop for the business sector tomorrow at Asharqia Chamber

    In cooperation with the German-Saudi Economic Affairs Office (AHK), Asharqia Chamber will hold a workshop on the future of renewable energy in the Kingdom and the latest German technologies that are used in the production of solar energy. It would be presented by the consultant at the German-Saudi liaison office, Quentin Plumert, at the Chamber's headquarter at 10 am.

     

    The workshop aims to itoduce the business sector in the Eastern Region with renewable sources of energy derived from natural resources, especially the solar ones, which are renewed and not implemented, and do not usually generate harmful waste or gases or increase global warming, in addition to introducing the best and most recent means to raise the efficiency and rates of production and ways to preserve them, as well as the source of their sources in the Kingdom and the available fields of investment and successful experiences of their uses within the Kingdom.

     

    The Kingdom has made significant progress in the global solar energy index, while the country, according to the 2030 vision, aims to export solar energy over the next 10 years.

    In March 2018, the Solar Energy Project signed by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed with Softbank, which is expected to enable the Kingdom to reach a production capacity of about 200 gigawatts by 2030​
